I mean!!!!! Don’t these images just tear at your heart-strings?  A couple of weeks ago there was an email circulating of 21 Pictures That Will Restore Your Faith in Humanity.  It did!!  There are endless stories of non-animal related true acts of heroism, but since it’s Furry Friday we wanted to share with you some animal stories that have restored our faith in humanity.  The internet is full of these touching tales and we are thankful for the heroes out there that are courageous enough to help.  Of course, we are not always presented with opportunities like this, so how we can help is through pet adoption.  Pet Harbor is a great website if you’re looking to share the love.  If you have the means, please adopt from a shelter and if not please help spread the word!  On another note, it’s the freakin’ weekend friends!!! Let’s get crazy!!

Hi there!! Speaking of Summer knits…I’m loving this shirt from Eternal Sunshine Creations!  It is incredibly comfy and I love the bohemian fit…not to mention the beautiful print…I’m in love!!  I’m notorious for being cold and never leave the house without a jacket, so this shirt is perfect for my cold blood, even in this warm weather.  I hope you’re all having a beautiful week!  The goal today is focus.  I’m full of excitement and anticipation today.  Not quite sure why, it’s just in the air…can you feel it?   xo, A

  We are so excited that the summer sunshine is here and we know the hot weather has definitely arrived!!  Even though the days will be getting warmer and we will be wearing less clothing to stay cooler we know the nights still get a little chilly, so we wanted to introduce you to some of our summer must-haves that will bring a little warmth and comfort to your summer collection!  Summer knits and crochets are two great additions to have in your closet this season!!  The summer knits can be airy and light weight.  They look great as a coverup to any bathing suit and also look great with those denim cut-offs and maxi skirts!  The knits can be on the heavier side as well, for those cooler nights at the beach or an outdoor picnic.  They are really versatile and can be worn from day to night!!  Crochets are another fun way to ring in the summer! They have an amazing texture that creates such a fun bohemian vibe!  They range from bathing suits to shorts and to many colorful tanks and shirts!!  They remind us of Coachella and all the summer outdoor music festivals!!  So,  if you have a fun summer concert you are attending and need to stay cool from that summer heat, crochets are a perfect way to go!

We know everyone has an exciting Summer planned full of barbecues, bonfires and so many other fun outdoor activities!!  Even though it’s nice to be busy, there are those Summer days where you just want to be lazy!!!  Whether, it is relaxing on that beach chair with a cold refreshing treat or taking a trip to the beach to layout in the sand and read a book!!  There are so many great ways to unwind and have the peaceful summer we all deserve! Our furry companions are no different!! They truly do know how to have a lazy day!  Somehow animals always seem to look comfy and relaxed!!  They play hard and sleep hard!!  These pictures really captured those amazing lazy summer days we all look forward to having and how can you not smile when you look at them!!!!  The Ian Somerhalder Foundation has a great article informing everyone about how to take care of their pets during these sweltering hot months of Summer!!  It is so important to read up on some of this information because there are a lot of pet related deaths do to heat and dehydration.  So take care of your fur-babies this Summer!!   xoxo, K&A

Never underestimate a basic white T-shirt and jeans.  Add some accessories and sexy shoes…perfection!!  There are so many ways to spin these essentials, which is why I love them.  This is my weekend go-to look.  Minus the heels, add some flip-flops and it’s perfect for a walk on the pier on a breezy summer day.  What’s your weekend go-to??

Yay or nay?  This is definitely a trend that requires a little courage!  I’ve always been a fan of bold makeup, so this neon trend makes me a little giddy.  These electric colors are a fun must try for summer and we can’t wait to get on board!! Neon’s, as you know are all over the retail world, so it’s only normal for this trend to make its way into cosmetics.  We love a thick neon eyeliner paired with a fresh natural face or a matte hot pink lip paired with a simple black eyeliner.  Neon makeup will definitely get people talking, so it’s best to stick with one color and keep the rest of your face natural. This look is definitely a throw back to the 60′s with an electric twist, so go with a cat-eye to create a little drama.  The best part is, neon will look great with your summer tan!

With Summer just about officially here, we wanted to bring you some summer nail polish that represented the fun colors of the season!!  We are still obsessing over everything NEON, so we were on a hunt to find some really vibrant neon polish!!  After shopping around, our pick for best neons were these 3 colors from Essie!!  These colors pop and have the best color palette we have seen!

The Thakoon collection from Nars is another set of colors that we really felt represented this Summer’s vibe of fun and all things bright!!  The collection is inspired after the vibrant colors that are found at Indian spice markets!! It is also a collaboration between fashion designer Thakoon and Nars cosmetics!!
