Shimmer and Shine – It’s like Christmas in June! We are totally obsessed with anything that glitters over at The Cult of Style.  Maybe it’s because we are currently designing Holiday 2012 or maybe because we are the type that would wear rhinestone encrusted tiaras and sequin hot pants all day, every day, if we could!  Whatever the case may be, we are not even thinking about leaving the house without at least one piece of bling, even if it’s just our iPhone cases.  If it sparkles, then it’s a MUST HAVE.

Are you inspired yet?  Another reason we love summer are the many opportunities to get in touch with Mother Nature and sweat it out.  Outdoor yoga, hiking, surfing, paddle boarding…This time of year is the perfect time to get outside and why not do it in style?  There are so many fashionable fitness wear companies out there so we wanted to share with you a few of our favorites.  We love that designers are teaming up with brands like Adidas and Stella Mccartney and Roxy with Cynthia Rowley.  Here are a few items that are on our wish list this summer.  Click on the picture to see the details of each item.  I am currently obsessing about the NIKE Pop Art Training Capris and the Helmut Lang Asymmetric bra…just saying!!

As some of you may already know Katie is a personal trainer with Tracy Anderson.  She works with a lot of celebrity clients which means she travels.  She will be on location for the next six weeks.  Unfortunately you won’t see her in many outfit posts , but don’t worry she will be blogging from afar.  I am going to miss her dearly and I’m already feeling a little blue from her absence!  We hope you are all having a great week and don’t forget it’s not too late to get your beach body!  Happy hump day…the weekend is almost here!!  xoxo,  K&A

So what do you guys think of this Cosmic trend??  We think it is a little out there…but sometimes that’s exactly what draws us to certain pieces!  There is something so alluring about these galaxy prints and when worn the right way can look really fun and interesting!  Our favorites include the pink /purple DIY flats pictured at the top and the Christopher Kane Galaxy Collection pictured at the bottom!  The collection is innovative and colorful!! We are always inspired by beautiful words of wisdom spoken by strong, successful women.  Thank you Miuccia Prada for that beautiful quote that really hit home!!  We all have a wild side, that may or may not have been stifled along this journey we call life.  When we talk about our inner wild we’re not talking “girls gone wild”, we’re talking about that wild woman inside you that pushes you to face your fears, to have the strength to reach for what truly makes you happy, even if it’s not societies norm, and that wild woman who says “this is who I am and I’m proud!”.  How many times have you seen someone and thought “She looks beautiful, I wish I could pull that off”?  You can!!  That thought is your inner wild screaming to get out.  Women are at their most beautiful when they are happy and confident.  So listen to what your inner wild is telling you and go for it!  You will find that when you embrace your wild side you will feel confident because you are living your authentic life.  So whatever it is, rock it!! Good Morning readers!!!  Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend. We know how hard it is to get back into the daily grind after having a couple relaxing days off; so we wanted to share a little EYE KANDEE and a few kind words to get us all started on the right foot this week. Every morning when we get out of bed we have a choice!!  A choice to decide if the day is going to be a magnificent one or a miserable one!!  Choosing to have a positive outlook and choosing to be happy each day, really does come from within and it starts as soon as we get out of bed!!  So, even though we would love to stay cozy and hit that snooze button on some mornings, let’s try to wake up and feel good about what the day has to offer!!  It is the most important decision you make! There is something so magical about feathers and when we see them worn in something as bold and beautiful as a headdress we are instantly intrigued! This isn’t something we would normally wear in everyday life but it makes for amazing photos right?!! Feathers have definitely made an appearance in today’s fashion trends including earrings, necklaces and feather hair extensions.  One of the reasons feather headdresses are so interesting is that they have a regal essence about them and as we know, in the Native cultures they were worn with much respect and symbolism.  When one received an Eagle Feather that person was being acknowledged with gratitude, love, and ultimate respect.  The feather symbolizes trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power, and freedom.  If only we put that much importance and thought into what we wore!!  So when you’re rocking the popular Tribal and Native trends wear them not only because they’re pretty but also wear them with pride, because they hold a deeper meaning. Today we wanted to remind you that you deserve to feel like a princess!  So go ahead and wear your invisible crown…or real one.  As women we tend to not give ourselves the credit we deserve and we let life make us feel we’re not good enough.  You are enough!!  You are more than enough and deserve to feel and be treated as such.  There is a reason we all loved playing dress-up as children.  It made us feel beautiful and took us away to a place of dreams and fantasy.  The same hold true today.  What you wear makes you feel a certain way, so honor that child within and play dress-up!!
