Not sure if it’s the rain here in L.A. or just the time of year but our moods have been wandering to the cozy side.  Curling up on the couch with a cup of joe and a good book seem to be on the top of our to do list lately.  Either that or just staying under the covers all together.  There is something so amazing about the feeling of comfort.  Whether, it’s the comfort of our homes, comfort of a friend’s voice in a time of need or simply the comfort of a warm sweater and beanie on a cold day.  This time of year makes us feel warm all over and so does that picture of Ryan Gosling!!!! Hahaha!!  Now talk about Eye Kandee!!! There is nothing more comforting than getting into the Christmas spirit.  We love the whole process of transforming our homes into a magical winter wonderland and then sitting back and getting lost in the twinkling lights and the scent of pine and gingerbread.  What are some of your favorite Christmas comforts?

We hope you all had a blessed holiday, now on to the next!  I’ve already started listening to Christmas music and I can’t wait to get my tree up and decorated. Can you tell what color mood we are in?  Oxblood!  Really?  Who’s the Queen Bee that has the privilege of naming colors?  I want that job!  What happened to Burgundy and Maroon? …or even Merlot?  Well despite the name we are in the mood for all things Oxblood.  Maybe not all at once, but there are some pretty amazing Oxblood pieces out there right now.  It’s Cyber Monday, so we’re off to start our Christmas shopping.  What better way to kick-start our favorite time of year!

Happy Thanksgiving!! We realize we have been a little MIA with posting and we apologize, but we couldn’t let this Thanksgiving go by without a little holiday inspired Eye Kandee.  Who doesn’t love Thanksgiving?  What a lovely time to be with family, enjoy the comforts of home, indulge without guilt (hopefully), and do it all with a gracious spirit.  We all have an abundance of blessings and this is the perfect time to take stock of them and be thankful.  We wanted to give a special thanks to all of our Gypsy Luster followers!!  It means the world to us that you check out our blog everyday!!  So, we hope everyone has a peaceful Thanksgiving day celebration planned surrounded by loved ones and lots of yummy food!!!  Happy Turkey Day!!

We are always for all black.  There are so many ways to spin this look, and it’s always easy and classic.  I’m swooning over the black Chado Ralph Rucci dress with the sneak peek of hot pink!  Amazing!!  How can you not love anything that’s sexy and mysterious on the outside but yet soft and feminine on the inside?  Surprise details are always a must!  …And the Dior ballet heels on Mila…I have not words other than, PERFECTION!!  We hope you are all having a fabulous October!!

Feeling in the mood for romance and whimsy this week.  I’m getting ready to jet off on a European vacation with my Love, so my mind is wandering to beautiful sites and peaceful places.  I want to dress beautifully effortless, wander the streets of a new city, eat delicious food and experience something new.  I’m in the mood for adventure and romance!  If only life were like a vacation at all times… I guess that is the key to happiness; finding joy in the mundane by seeing things in a different light.  Sorry for the late Eye Kandee. It’s been one of those weeks; Katie is traveling for work and as you can see I’m having a hard time focusing.  Lol!  Better late than never right?  I hope this Eye Kandee inspires romance and adventure for you this week, even if it is just by seeing things in a new way!  Ciao!

Monday already????  The weekends sure do fly by!  On a positive note, it’s that day of the week to start off fresh and to get excited about what the week has to offer!  I was feeling a peaceful vibe on Sunday and was trying to channel my inner bohemian spirit with some of today’s Eye Kandee selections!  Lately I have been trying to live a little more free and without stress on what the future holds!  There is something so admirable about the bohemian way of life.  A way of living with no room for self-doubt and insecurities.  It’s also an uninhibited courageous way of living in each moment and making sure that you are happy and content with the simple things! We have both been feeling this way and will be striving to live more liberated but yet still grounded!  Hope everyone has a peaceful Monday and a happy October!

Ahhhh!!  The simple things in life!!  They really can be the most captivating and most influential moments in our lives!!!  They truly make you sit back and just catch your breath!!  I guess because they are so organic and effortless.  I think it is all about taking the time to notice and to enjoy living in these simple moments!  Sometimes I feel like they are easy to miss because we spend our days trying to create these perfect scenarios of what life should be and what the successes in our lives should be!  I’ve just realized that getting up, having a cup of coffee, enjoying the warm weather and being with loved ones is truly my happy place!!  Everything else is just a cherry on top!!  We would love to hear the simple things that you guys take the time to enjoy!!  Thanks for reading and have a great Labor Day!!
