I recently purchased the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar because the lovely Kate Hudson was gracing the cover!  The photos are just amazing and I wanted to share them in case you happened to miss them.  We have both been huge fans of Kate since she stole our hearts as Penny Lane in Almost Famous ten years ago.  What an example of style and grace.  She has a gypsy spirit and a radiant energy that definitely commands attention, and we have always admired her hippie style.  These images are so feminine with a little old school glamour.  We can’t seem to get enough, and the red Valentino gown…I mean, AMAZING!!!  Hope you enjoy!  You can read Kate’s interview at harpersbazaar.com

Black Blazer…Everyone needs one

So, we always talk about those core staple pieces that should be in everyone’s closet, right??? Well one of those pieces should be the Black Blazer!!!!!   Having a great fitted blazer is a great accessory to any wardrobe.  It can transform an outfit from day to night and basically be combined with any style, casual to dressy. Our favorite day look is with a great pair of jeans shorts, a white tee and some sneakers.  Then for a night out, throw off the sneakers and replace them with some fun neon pumps! It’s as easy as that!!! It’s like having a great pair of jeans (priceless), so don’t be afraid to spend a little extra to find that perfect fit!!!  It will be well worth it, trust us!  So, if you don’t have one, get one and if you have one, start experimenting with the endless wardrobe combinations.  We found a couple more traditional blazers here and here and then for something a little edgier try this one.  Have fun with it and let us know your favorite way to style the black blazer!!  Love,

With Mother’s Day around the corner we wanted to pay tribute to all the stylish mothers out there!  We know there is nothing more fashionable than a mother’s love, but we get so much of our passions and styles from our mothers, so we wanted to thank our moms for influencing our personal style and making us who we are today!!  Motherhood is the most important job there is and we know so many mothers that do it with style and grace.  Think about your personal style and how much of it came from your mother…it’s probably way more that you think.  Be proud of it!!  Take time this week to thank all the mothers in your life because they work hard!!  Have a lovely week!!  K&A

We hope you all had a very happy Easter!!  There’s nothing quite like spending time with loved ones and gorging yourself on candy!  Today we want to give a big thanks to all of our readers…you!  Our Furry Friday…Unlikely Friends post generated the highest traffic we have had on our blog so far, and is still getting views.  We have made some great friends a long the way and have been getting the attention of some people and companies that we would have never expected.  We are still new but we have come a long way since we started.  We are so excited for the unknown!  The opportunities are endless and we can’t wait to see where this journey leads.  We hope you stay with us because we couldn’t do it without you.  We would love to hear feedback.  Feel free to comment and tell us what you like about Gypsy Luster and also what you would like to see more of.  The best is yet to come!!!
