This past weekend it finally felt like September and that Autumn is on its way (despite the climbing heat temperatures here in southern Cali)!!  Football was on television, a spiced pumpkin latte was in my hand and there was an overall cozy feeling in the house that only comes with this time of year.  Yes, we are glad to see you September!! We are definitely excited and READY to start sporting our fall attire!!  Boots, boots and more boots!!  There are so many great pairs out this season and we can’t wait to get our hands on some.  Pairing them with an oversized sweater or a great jacket, sounds like a pretty stylish and comfy way to start out this fall season!  Here are some of our Eye Kandee inspirations to get you excited about this transition into harvest season!

We are always inspired by beautiful words of wisdom spoken by strong, successful women.  Thank you Miuccia Prada for that beautiful quote that really hit home!!  We all have a wild side, that may or may not have been stifled along this journey we call life.  When we talk about our inner wild we’re not talking “girls gone wild”, we’re talking about that wild woman inside you that pushes you to face your fears, to have the strength to reach for what truly makes you happy, even if it’s not societies norm, and that wild woman who says “this is who I am and I’m proud!”.  How many times have you seen someone and thought “She looks beautiful, I wish I could pull that off”?  You can!!  That thought is your inner wild screaming to get out.  Women are at their most beautiful when they are happy and confident.  So listen to what your inner wild is telling you and go for it!  You will find that when you embrace your wild side you will feel confident because you are living your authentic life.  So whatever it is, rock it!! There is something so magical about feathers and when we see them worn in something as bold and beautiful as a headdress we are instantly intrigued! This isn’t something we would normally wear in everyday life but it makes for amazing photos right?!! Feathers have definitely made an appearance in today’s fashion trends including earrings, necklaces and feather hair extensions.  One of the reasons feather headdresses are so interesting is that they have a regal essence about them and as we know, in the Native cultures they were worn with much respect and symbolism.  When one received an Eagle Feather that person was being acknowledged with gratitude, love, and ultimate respect.  The feather symbolizes trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power, and freedom.  If only we put that much importance and thought into what we wore!!  So when you’re rocking the popular Tribal and Native trends wear them not only because they’re pretty but also wear them with pride, because they hold a deeper meaning.      Nothing signifies the start of spring more than white!!!  A classic look with such a clean and crisp feel!! Lately, we have seen a trend pairing white on white.  It’s a look we are definitely going to have to try!  The two-piece white suit has been one of the main staples of this white on white mania.  We personally are fans of the feminine textures like lace, silk and sheer fabrics, which gives the look a really light and flowy feel.  When that soft texture is mixed with a great pair of white jeans you have the perfect blend of girly and tough.  It’s fun to experiment with white because it’s a great foundation to start with and you can build upon it!!
