Yesterday I was channeling my inner lioness at the old L.A. zoo, while my style seemed a little more a la Emanuelle Alt.  Labor Day is just around the corner, so if you’re a firm follower of fashion rules this is your last weekend to wear your white jeans.  Yikes!! Is Summer over already?  As for me, you may see me in white again….I’m a rebel like that!  It’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it.  I love how eye-catching black and white is together…it’s a classic combination that will never go out of style.  I don’t know about you, but I’m due for a much-needed long weekend.  I’m on my way home to visit my family this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited!

I finally got on board with Instagram.  I know, I know…It’s old news.  I hesitated for so long because it seems like just another thing that takes us away from living in the moment, but I have to say… I like it!!  You can keep up with my everyday adventures via Followgram.  Have a fun weekend!!

My fashion mood as of late has been wandering to the black side, so I decided to kick things up a notch and add some neon.  I must be stuck in fashion limbo between Summer and Fall.  Despite this sweltering heat we’ve been enduring in L.A., the past few days my mind has been wandering to cooler times with dreams of cozy attire a la boots and scarves, but then again the beach is still calling my name on a daily basis.  I’m half in…what a place to be!  It must be the endless Fall lookbooks that have been taunting me online.  So much fashion goodness awaits, and yet I must continue to remind myself to stay present…this day will never come again.  Live it, Love it, Embrace it!  My mantra for the day.  I hope you’re all having a beautiful and inspired day!

As promised, here is the outfit from last week.  Ok, so I guess I am still a brunette but it’s pretty red.  Right?  I got you all thinking I went blonde…hehe! In all honesty, I wanted it to be a little lighter than this, but apparently it’s a process with hair this dark.  Can somebody please tell me how some people, aka celebrities, can go from dark to platinum, to pink and back so easily??

This is a typical Andee outfit.  I have a tendency to add color with accessories and shoes, so I was excited when I found this neon pink necklace.  Ok, confession time… I actually got this necklace for my sister for her birthday and I couldn’t resist styling it.  Don’t judge!!  Apparently I have a weakness for beautiful pink jewels!!  Not to worry, It’s now safe in her hands.  I love wearing grey; it’s a classy neutral color that you can pair with anything and I think you know how I feel about the black blazer.  It’s all about pairing your staple pieces with statement pieces to keep things exciting.  You know what I mean?  FYI Katie will be back soon and I know you miss her as much as I do.  Can’t wait!!

A girl needs a little change up every once in a while and I have been in serious need.  So, I finally took a little time to get my hair done.  Let’s just say I’m not quite sure I’m still in the brunette family.  Awe….the suspense!!  I can’t wait to see what you all think.  How fab is this necklace?  A statement necklace deserves a little attention.  Don’t you think?  Next week I’ll show you the whole shabang; the outfit, the hair…. We snapped a few shots of my Fourth of July outfit while we were out and about enjoying the festivities.  I love the versatility of this feminine lace top. Breezy and beautiful…perfect for Summertime.  These jeans had me at stars and stripes, so they were a must for the Fourth!  I love the energy of this holiday; so much American pride and fireworks!  What more can you ask for. Well in all honesty, this holiday makes me miss my family terribly, so I guess if I could have asked for more it would have been a long weekend with the Fam. However, I was with my Love so that’s always a good time!  I hope your holiday was amazing!!  Love,  A
