We are always inspired by beautiful words of wisdom spoken by strong, successful women.  Thank you Miuccia Prada for that beautiful quote that really hit home!!  We all have a wild side, that may or may not have been stifled along this journey we call life.  When we talk about our inner wild we’re not talking “girls gone wild”, we’re talking about that wild woman inside you that pushes you to face your fears, to have the strength to reach for what truly makes you happy, even if it’s not societies norm, and that wild woman who says “this is who I am and I’m proud!”.  How many times have you seen someone and thought “She looks beautiful, I wish I could pull that off”?  You can!!  That thought is your inner wild screaming to get out.  Women are at their most beautiful when they are happy and confident.  So listen to what your inner wild is telling you and go for it!  You will find that when you embrace your wild side you will feel confident because you are living your authentic life.  So whatever it is, rock it!! Statement necklaces are making quite the statement this season.  They’re taking accessorizing to a whole new level and they’re not lacking in the current neon, pastel and tribal trends.  We are loving the neon crystals!  The statement necklace of the moment can easily be worn as the main focal point of an outfit.  We love pairing them with a simple tee to make sure they get the attention they deserve…not to say they can’t be worn with formal wear. Which is exactly why we love them; you can wear them with your everyday basic grey tee and boyfriend jeans or with a sexy LBD for a night on the town! Australian fashion week is over, but it has definitely left a lasting impression. We were so taken by the ever so beautiful and fashionable Aussies.  They sure know how to dress down under!!!!  The runways were filled with so many colors and such a wonderful mix of eclectic accessories and prints.  It was hard to pin point a common theme.  Every designer brought something different to the stage.  Our absolute favorite was We Are Handsome.  Their animal print swimsuits were unique and exotic coming down the runway, and we are always a fan of animals incorporated into fashion.   We can’t forget to mention the feminine floral prints of Zimmermann and the bright mix of pattern’s of Romance Was Born.  Another one of our favorite things about Fashion Week is the make-up and hair trends that we see emerge.  Bring on the drama!! MBFWA brought out all the stops between the Russian Dolls of Alice McCall to the two-toned orange and hot pink lips of We Are Handsome and, oh yes! The theatrical superhero meets David Bowie look of Romance Was Born brought Aussie fashion week to a whole new level!  The runway was definitely an eyeful, but we can’t forget about all the wonderful street styles.  Above are just a few looks that caught our eye.  Overall, we fell in love with Australian fashion and their designers.     Talk about bedazzle!!! This studded trend has been spotted on every wearable item imaginable.  Ok, we know it’s not new…the studded trend has been around for a while now.  We’re still loving it!!  Everyone else must be too because it’s definitely still hot!! It’s a cool way to dress up any pair of tennis shoes or add edge to a pair of jeans or a leather jacket.  The studded look definitely gives off a rocker chic vibe!  The jean shorts are a personal favorite especially the ones Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton are wearing at their 2010 Sass and Bide runway show in the first picture above.  The fun thing about this studded trend is it can be a DIY project.  We have been wanting to experiment with a pair of heels in our closet that need a little refreshing.  So keep posted for a DIY project!!   Happy Hump day!
