My fashion mood as of late has been wandering to the black side, so I decided to kick things up a notch and add some neon.  I must be stuck in fashion limbo between Summer and Fall.  Despite this sweltering heat we’ve been enduring in L.A., the past few days my mind has been wandering to cooler times with dreams of cozy attire a la boots and scarves, but then again the beach is still calling my name on a daily basis.  I’m half in…what a place to be!  It must be the endless Fall lookbooks that have been taunting me online.  So much fashion goodness awaits, and yet I must continue to remind myself to stay present…this day will never come again.  Live it, Love it, Embrace it!  My mantra for the day.  I hope you’re all having a beautiful and inspired day!

We both have a our Summer vacations, or shall we say end of Summer vacations booked and our brains are in complete getaway mode!!!  We are so excited to escape reality for a little while and we are getting more excited by the day thinking of all the great clothes we are going to pack!  One of the things we know for sure is that comfort is key on vacation!!  That is why Maxi dresses and skirts are a perfect fit for these summer trips!!  They are a great way to achieve that comfortable look without sacrificing the style factor! You can sport tennis shoes with them for the days that you will be doing lots of walking and sightseeing and switch to heels for the late night activities.  Again, this is the perfect time to shop for maxi’s because so many retailers are dropping prices.  Here are a few we’ve found…Summer Lovin’ Maxi via Planet Blue, Oasis Stripe Maxi Dress via Asos, ASOS Maxi Skirt In Sheer And Solid Stripe, and Sparkle & Fade Maxi Pleated Chiffon Skirt via Urban Outfitters.  A couple of these items can be taken from Summer to Fall, which is always a plus since it’s right around the corner!  A basic pleated chiffon maxi is a definite staple piece for all seasons, so it will be a worthy investment.  Happy hump day!!

As promised, here is the outfit from last week.  Ok, so I guess I am still a brunette but it’s pretty red.  Right?  I got you all thinking I went blonde…hehe! In all honesty, I wanted it to be a little lighter than this, but apparently it’s a process with hair this dark.  Can somebody please tell me how some people, aka celebrities, can go from dark to platinum, to pink and back so easily??

This is a typical Andee outfit.  I have a tendency to add color with accessories and shoes, so I was excited when I found this neon pink necklace.  Ok, confession time… I actually got this necklace for my sister for her birthday and I couldn’t resist styling it.  Don’t judge!!  Apparently I have a weakness for beautiful pink jewels!!  Not to worry, It’s now safe in her hands.  I love wearing grey; it’s a classy neutral color that you can pair with anything and I think you know how I feel about the black blazer.  It’s all about pairing your staple pieces with statement pieces to keep things exciting.  You know what I mean?  FYI Katie will be back soon and I know you miss her as much as I do.  Can’t wait!!

Just taking in the views up on Mulholland Dr.  What a beautiful city!  I think we all tend to dress according to our mood.  I know I do, almost to a fault at times.  I’m all about comfort!  The key is finding comfort clothes and making them look good.  So, when I’m in a ‘If only I could stay in my pj’s all day’ kind of mood, I’m thanking the Fashion Gods for the boyfriend jeans trend!  These tie-dye Hudson jeans are a new favorite of mine; slightly too big but perfect for days like these!  Also I love the idea of adding interest to an outfit with a kimono…playful, colorful, feminine and oh so comfy!  So if you’re having an off day, don’t beat yourself up about it; we all have them.  There will be more ‘I’m sexy and I know it’ days when you can rock that LBD and sky-high heels, but until then just embrace comfort clothes and wear what makes you feel good. I’m out…Hope you’re having a happy day!

Awe…Summer in the city! I think the Disney Concert Hall is one of the most beautiful places in the L.A., so I was completely happy to be upstaged by this masterpiece.  If you’ve never been it’s definitely a must see!  I love wearing shoes as my statement piece, so I couldn’t pass up these tie-dye Senso boots. We all have at least one item that we are willing to step out the norm and get a little crazy with; for some it’s jewelry, others sunnies… for me it’s shoes!  I love me some look-at-me shoes!!  Also, how great is the neckline of this shirt? Love!  Life is too short to not get a little crazy with your style!  So, have fun with your wardrobe every once in a while so that you’re not upstaged by the everyday.

We snapped a few shots of my Fourth of July outfit while we were out and about enjoying the festivities.  I love the versatility of this feminine lace top. Breezy and beautiful…perfect for Summertime.  These jeans had me at stars and stripes, so they were a must for the Fourth!  I love the energy of this holiday; so much American pride and fireworks!  What more can you ask for. Well in all honesty, this holiday makes me miss my family terribly, so I guess if I could have asked for more it would have been a long weekend with the Fam. Hi there!! Speaking of white jeans…these are my loves!!  I have over worn them already so I’m on the look out for the perfect white skinny’s but for now they will stay in rotation.  Just when I thought I was over mint I found this shirt.  I love the cut-outs in the back!  Apparently I can’t get over white jeans or mint at the moment…don’t judge!  Hope your all having a beautiful day!!
