I picked up this shirt at Urban Outfitters recently and was digging the rockeresque vibe about it!  I’ve been into muscle tees lately because I love how wide the sides are cut, they are a great way to showcase cool colored and printed bras and a great way to add a little edge to any outfit.  Also, who doesn’t like to keep cool during those hot summer days!  I know I do living in LA!!!!!!  I finished off the look with an old vintage pair of boyfriend jeans!!  They are super comfy but can still be worn to look dressy!  Especially, if you pair them with a great heel!  I wore some summer wedges I bought at Aldo.  I really like the versatility of wedges!!  I think they can go with shorts and be summer casual but can also be paired with a dress to give it a little fancier feel.  I have been driving past this graffiti wall for years and thought it added a great color scheme for this outfit and matched how I was feeling that day!  Overall, it felt good to add a little Rocker edge to my style. This week I felt inspired to embrace a little more of my wild side!!! I guess for me that meant being a little more rocker than usual!! We are always inspired by beautiful words of wisdom spoken by strong, successful women.  Thank you Miuccia Prada for that beautiful quote that really hit home!!  We all have a wild side, that may or may not have been stifled along this journey we call life.  When we talk about our inner wild we’re not talking “girls gone wild”, we’re talking about that wild woman inside you that pushes you to face your fears, to have the strength to reach for what truly makes you happy, even if it’s not societies norm, and that wild woman who says “this is who I am and I’m proud!”.  How many times have you seen someone and thought “She looks beautiful, I wish I could pull that off”?  You can!!  That thought is your inner wild screaming to get out.  Women are at their most beautiful when they are happy and confident.  So listen to what your inner wild is telling you and go for it!  You will find that when you embrace your wild side you will feel confident because you are living your authentic life.  So whatever it is, rock it!! Since we’ve been feeling the accessories all week, we decided to incorporate an amazing jewelry collection into today’s Furry Friday post.  You know how we love to include our favorite little friends into our fashion inspirations! This week the animal of choice isn’t exactly FURRY!  Even though snakes aren’t furry and snuggly like some of the other animals we usually post about, they have other great qualities and still hold a place in our hearts.  There is something so exotic and beautiful about the presence of snakes; from they way they move to their colors and patterns. They represent such mysticism.  We know they’re not meant for everyone!!!  It’s a long-term committment to make, because snakes usually live 20 years or more and they have specific needs as far as feeding and living spaces.  So, even if you don’t plan on adopting or owning a snake at least you can admire the beauty they radiate.  We thought this jewelry editorial perfectly captured the beauty of snakes and we couldn’t help but fall in love with Maria Francesca Pepe’s Jewelry collection.  Isn’t it great?? Ok, we know we should have been on board with this trend months ago, but we’re now in search of the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans or shorts.  We think they’re a must have for summer.  They are casual and breezy and you can pair them with wedges or flip-flops and still look great.  There is a fine line between chic and frumpy so when picking out the perfect pair it’s all about fit.  Despite the name, because let’s be honest who can actually put on a pair of their beau’s jeans and feel sexy?  Not me!!  Finding the perfect jeans, boyfriend or not, is almost an art!  It’s all about how they look and feel on you personally. Below we have listed a few we’ve found that we like.  However, we are firm believers that the best way to find the perfect pair of jeans is to go thrifting; our favorites are Crossroads and Wasteland.  You can also DIY your own boyfriend shorts.  We would love to hear if you have found your perfect pair and where.  When we find ours we will be sure to share them in an outfit post.  Xo,  K&A

Good Morning readers!!!  Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend. We know how hard it is to get back into the daily grind after having a couple relaxing days off; so we wanted to share a little EYE KANDEE and a few kind words to get us all started on the right foot this week. Every morning when we get out of bed we have a choice!!  A choice to decide if the day is going to be a magnificent one or a miserable one!!  Choosing to have a positive outlook and choosing to be happy each day, really does come from within and it starts as soon as we get out of bed!!  So, even though we would love to stay cozy and hit that snooze button on some mornings, let’s try to wake up and feel good about what the day has to offer!!  It is the most important decision you make! Seriously!! Have you ever seen anything so precious?  If these images don’t make you smile you might be dead inside!  No really…If you don’t feel warm and fuzzy we’re a little worried about you!  The animal world is not lacking in love.  It’s amazing how animals naturally have a nurturing instinct and these images capture a mother’s love so perfectly. We have been anxiously awaiting this post because these images melt our hearts, so we couldn’t wait to share them with you!!  There is nothing quite like a mother’s touch, so comforting and calming!  With Mother’s Day on Sunday we wanted to give another shout out to all the amazing mommas out there!!  Mothers bring such a sense of security and love with each touch that you can’t help but feel the love!  Even if you are far away from your mom (like we are) or if your mother is no longer here; just remember her presence is in you everyday and with every step you take.  So if you’re able, give your mom a big hug this Mother’s Day and make sure you tell her she is loved and appreciated.  We wish we could do the same!  Happy Friday!!  Love, K&A

A Maxi Summer…

I think I’m going to be living in maxi dresses this summer.  There is nothing more comfortable and you can dress them up or down.  I’ve had this floral dress for so long and it’s usually my go to when I want to feel a little more dressed up but still super comfy.  Paired with a floppy hat and fringe moccs gave it the perfect bohemian vibe.  I was at my hubby’s graduation last weekend and we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to shoot on this beautiful campus.  He graduated with his Masters in Architecture last fall but decided last-minute to walk with his class.  It was such a perfect day and I couldn’t be more proud of him!  It will definitely be a maxi summer for me…must go shopping!!  What’s your summer go to?   Love,  A
